No fires may be made on the ground or on the beach. Please bring your own portable braai. Ample fire wood is available. Never leave your fire unattended or unextinguished. A central fire pit is available on beach. Do not use the fire pit as a garbage can.
Ablution facilities
Please use water sparingly. All children under the age of 10 years MUST be accompanied by an adult in the ablutions.
Safety First
No glass on the beach or water.
Noise Control
Noise must be restricted to the minimum at all times. QUIET HOURS run from 10 p.m to 6 a.m.
Electricity
No electricity is available on your site and no generators are permitted.
Kids
Parents and guardians are accountable for their children at all times.
Leave no trace
'Leave no Trace' as you leave your site. A bin for waste is available on every site.
No pets
As nature reserve and courtesy to other guests the park has a NO PET policy.
No 4x4
No 4x4 recreational driving on the beach. Recovery Fee – R500 per incident.
Fishing
Fishing – strictly recreational catch & release is allowed.
Hiking
Follow short trails for young and old alike to explore.
Canoeing
Non motorised canoes, rafts or dinghies are welcome. Participants must practice adequate water safety regulations.
Volleyball
Try the communal ‘beach’ area for soccer or rugby, beach voleyball, or any soft ball games.
Restaurant
The restaurant is open from 07h30 to 16h00. On weekends burgers & toasties are available, otherwise ice cream or something from the fridge is always available.
Boma Braai
Join in on a communal and traditional Saturday night boma fire.
Sundown
Be sure to find a good spot and capture a moment of quiet time.
Birding & Animal Life
An abundance of wild life espacially over 500 species of birds may be spotted.
